Virus screening by incubation of Ab_H5N2@Fe₃O₄ MNP with the lysate of different viruses. The examined viruses (40 μL) include H5N2 (A/Duck/Taiwan/3233/04) and recombinant H5N1 (RG5, RG23, and NIBRG14). After incubation, only the H5N2 subtype was enriched. (A) HA, NP and M1 proteins were observed in the MALDI mass spectrum; (B) after subtracting the antibody signals (inset C), the HA, NP and M1 signals were clearly observed with good signal-to-noise ratio. For other viruses, only antibody signals were observed. A representative mass spectrum obtained from screening of RG5 is shown in (D).
